Looking for the best places to have brunch in Prague?

Are you a brunch enthusiast? So are we.

A stereotypically American concept invoking fantasies of bottomless mimosas and endless amounts of breakfast food, a good brunch can be hard to find abroad. While there are a lot of restaurants in Prague a brilliant brunch can be elusive. Luckily, there are a bunch of places serving delicious brunches across the city.

So what are the best places to get brunch in Prague? Let’s dive in!

Bistro Monk

Located in the center of Prague, Bistro Monk serves breakfast all day every day starting bright and early at 8:45 am. The bright interior is the perfect atmosphere for starting your day, or you can enjoy your brunch on the terrace.

You’ve got plenty of options to pick from here, whether you’re a sweet or savory bruncher. Choose from several types of avocado toast, eggs benedict, pancakes, and more.

And of course, what is brunch without a mimosa? Indulge in this classic breakfast cocktail made with freshly pressed orange juice.

For those of you who want the brunch experience but prefer lunch food, Bistro Monk also serves their lunch menu with salads, tacos, and more after 1 pm.

The Farm

Located just behind Letna Park, The Farm is the best place in this neighborhood for brunch. With ingredients sourced from local farms, your brunch is guaranteed to be fresh and tasty.

With plenty of options including variations of eggs benedict, porridge, French toast, and oat pancakes, you’ll want to try everything on the menu.

Anything you see on the menu can be prepared in a gluten-free version upon request. They also have an extensive menu of side dishes so you can customize your brunch however you see fit.

Marthy’s Kitchen

Marthy’s Kitchen is a brunch legend in Prague. In fact, it has grown so much in popularity in recent years that they had to open a second location. The original location is close to Namesti Miru on Francouzska, while the new location near the river opened its doors in 2018.

Marthy’s Kitchen offers up French-style breakfast and brunch specials until 4 p.m. each day, at which point they switch to their dinner menu.

All their menu items are made from high-quality local ingredients. In addition, their menu is huge. Choose from toasts, traditional English and French breakfasts, a few versions of Eggs Benedict, omelets, bagels, smoothies, and more.

The space is cozy and quaint. Just be aware that they don’t take reservations, so the earlier you get there the better chance you’ll have of getting a seat.

The Globe

A popular English-language bookstore and restaurant in the heart of Prague, The Globe is a favorite among expats for brunch. The Globe offers breakfast daily, but on Saturdays and Sundays, they go full-on American brunch style from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

We’re talking Eggs Benedict, bagel sandwiches, waffles and pancakes, breakfast burritos, omelets, and more.

There’s even an entire section of the menu dedicated to vegan and vegetarian brunch options, so there’s something for everyone here.

And again, breakfast cocktails are a must. Aside from your basic mimosa, they offer espresso martinis, Aperol Spritzes, Bloody Marys, Bellinis, and more.

Venue

Located in the city center, Venue is known for its sleek interior and its wide selection of meats and seasonal vegetables. All their ingredients are sourced from local farmers, so you’re guaranteed to be eating a freshly made dish.

Their extensive brunch menu means you’ll be coming back again and again to try everything you possibly can.

They have scrambled eggs, along with a vegan version, a Croque Monsieur, avocado toast, french toast, and more.

They even put a spin on some of your traditional breakfast favorites. Go out on a limb with their red velvet buttermilk pancakes, a vegetarian version of chicken and waffles, and some Czech specialties.

For vegans, they also have smoothie bowls and power bowls.

Food Lab

Located in Old Town, Food Lab calls itself a lifestyle restaurant, and it’s easy to see why. With a piano lounge, a kids zone, and an all-around chic and welcoming atmosphere, Food Lab has it all. Their modern and stylish space will have you feeling right at home as you enjoy your meal.

Their brunch menu includes classics like Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine, several types of waffles, and some healthier options.

Complete your brunch with a coffee or with one of their breakfast cocktails like a classic Mimosa or Grappa di Barbera.

For those of you who prefer lunch food, they also serve seafood, steak, and more at the same time as brunch.

Eska

Eska is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Prague for any meal, but their brunch is especially to die for. With a rotating menu based on local and fresh ingredients, you’ll be going back again and again to try something new each time.

Breakfast is served from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. daily.

Eska is also a bakery, so you’ll definitely want to try some of their homemade bread and pastries.

They serve up their own specialties, such as Breakfast Eska and Breakfast Karlin, as well as classics like eggs, omelets, crepes, and more. You’ll also find some Czech breakfast favorites, including sausages and egg fried bread.

Cafe Louvre

Cafe Louvre is one of the most famous restaurants in Prague, and for good reason.

This cafe was established in 1902 and was a popular hangout spot for great thinkers like Franz Kafka and Albert Einstein. Who wouldn’t want to have brunch in the same place where this kind of history was made?

Cafe Louvre’s brunch options are served daily from 8 am until 11 am, so get there early and it’s recommended to make a reservation.

They offer Czech and French breakfast plates. Or, choose one of their many stuffed croissants, pancakes, or eggs and omelets. They even offer a breakfast version of beef goulash for all the traditional Czech cuisine lovers out there.

To complete your brunch, enjoy a coffee cocktail or a Mimosa.

This is also one of the most reasonably priced brunch options in the city center, so eat up!

Cafe Savoy

Cafe Savoy is one of the more expensive brunch options in Prague, but it’s worth it. You’ll be dining in a sophisticated atmosphere reminiscent of an old Viennese cafe.

Choose from large breakfasts like the French or English Breakfast, or try the cafe’s own special “Savoy” breakfast. There are also plenty of egg and omelet options for those looking for something a bit simpler and cheaper.

For something smaller, consider the stuffed croissants or open sandwiches.

No matter what you choose, this is perhaps the classiest brunch you will ever have.

The Tavern

One of the best American restaurants in town also serves American-style brunch, and we are here for it.

The Tavern’s Weekend Brunchfest takes place Saturday and Sunday from 11 am until 4 pm along with everything that’s on their regular menu.

They’ve got your classic southern fried chicken and waffles, omelet platters, breakfast sandwiches, and more. They also offer a wide range of brunch cocktails such as Bloody Marys, Mimosas, Tequila Sunrises, and, of course, coffee.

This place fills up fast for brunch so it’s better to make a reservation for your party in advance.

Coffee Corner

Coffee Corner is one of the best brunch places in Prague without a doubt.

It’s hard to beat with an extensive menu of coffee, cocktails, and breakfast options. It also has a hip and cozy interior so you can enjoy your brunch in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

Their brunch options include variations of scrambled eggs, avocado toast, a breakfast burrito, Turkish eggs, Eggs Benedict, smoothie bowls, and more. You can also choose from vitamin smoothies if you’re looking for something healthier.

They also have a lunch menu and sides that are served all day long for those who aren’t into breakfast food.

Den Noc

This modern Czech bistro was opened in 2014 and was born out of a love for pancakes. If you’re looking for the best pancakes in town, this is the place to go.

Den Noc serves up a unique and creative menu with more than 20 different options for both sweet and savory pancakes. And, of course, if pancakes aren’t your thing, they also offer a few different types of scrambled eggs.

And don’t forget the drinks! Along with the traditional coffee and juice, they also serve up some of their own creations. These include the Den Noc juice combo and rose wine with raspberry-mint lemonade.

Satsang

For a brunch that’s exclusively vegetarian and vegan, head to Satsang on Krymska. They serve brunch every weekend from 10 am until 4 pm.

Satsang serves only free-range eggs, and for vegans, they offer a tofu egg scramble, with several ingredient options so you can build your own. They also have a brunch burrito, eggs Benedict (or basil Benedict for vegans), veggie burgers, and pancakes…glorious pancakes.

As for drinks, they offer bottomless mimosas, Bloody Marys, and they are the only restaurant on this list offering bottomless coffee.
