Looking for the best hostels in Paris? Not all Paris hostels are created equal, but we’re here to help.
Paris, the City of Lights, is famed for its architecture, culture, museums, history, food, and staggering man-made beauty. One thing this spectacular city is NOT known for, however, is cheap hotels and hostels. In fact, there is a surprising lack of great hostels in Paris. Backpackers and budget travelers in Paris might experience a bit of sticker shock upon arrival.
In general, Paris can be a hard city to visit on a shoestring or backpacking budget. You can expect to pay around €2.00 for a coffee, €8.00 for a pint of beer at a bar, and €12.00 to get into the Louvre. Dorm beds are no exception either. You will pay a minimum of €32.00 a night during high season for a bed anywhere near central Paris, unless you have magical powers. In which case, please get in touch with us, we have always wanted to meet a superhero.
Airbnb might be a better bet for the budget minded if you’re traveling in a group. However, if you’re flying solo and want to meet like-minded travelers, backpackers, and nomads while visiting Paris, hostels are still your best bet. So we’ve put together a list of the best hostels in Paris for backpackers and budget travelers to take some of the stress out of planning your trip.

All of these are factors when it comes to making our selection of the best hostels in Paris.
