Although it’s located a little way outside of the city in Lake Hayes, we felt that the tranquil location and excellent service provided by Stoneridge Estate is reason enough for it to be on our list of the best boutique hotels in Queenstown.
In saying this, it’s still only a 15 minute drive to the centre of Queenstown! You win some you lose some… right?
You’re still a winner here, trust us. This impressive estate offers a 5 star experience accompanied by some of the most breathtaking views you’ll ever set eyes on. It’s situated within a 12 acre vineyard, so you can trust that the wine you’ll be drinking is the real deal.
Something that sets this boutique hotel apart from the rest is it’s fascinating architectural design. Constructed of local schist rock and recycled materials, it has the feel of an authentic mountain lodge. With it’s wooden interiors and windows opening up to mountain views, Stoneridge estate is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and truly reconnect with nature.
You’ll be right on the edge of the lake, but if you can’t handle the icy alpine water then take a dip in the pool instead. Enjoy a private gourmet dinner and a locally produced bottle of wine from your very own balcony.
