Just returning from a 3 day city trip to Prague, I want to thank you for your suggestions that took us just a bit off the beaten path. Without your blog we would not have found the Olšany cemetery, which is impressive in its sheer size an its sad beauty. Besides all the fun first time visitors things to see that we visited, it certainly was a highlight in our city visit!

Thank you for the kind words, and for reaching out. We are thrilled you found the article useful. Have you read our article on Day Trips from Prague as well. We highly recommend taking at least one or two trips out of the city to nearby areas of interest and beauty.

As for exploring Prague off the beaten path, you really can do it on your own very easily. Prague is a relatively small city of 1 million people, and the tram services around the center of the city are very very efficient. It is an easy city to get around in. However, if you are looking for a guide to show you around you might want to try there guys –

HI! Randy! Thanks sooo much for the awesome tips and advice as to where to go and what to visit off the beaten path.
question: how can we do it on our own? bus? Uber? walking or do you recommend a guided tour with anyone from your great staff or any other local tour English speaking guide you could receommend- hubby and I will be arriving in Prague on the 20th of this month and ready start our journey the very next day-

Hi Hayley,

Finding non-vegan/vegetarian restaurants with vegan options is not particularly easy in Prague. I have discovered a few though.

MamyFood – Korean
Las Adalitas – you have to “veganize” some dishes by asking for no sour cream/cheese but there are a few options
Pizzeria Manna – Pizza (vegan and “regular” cheese), pasta
Belzepub – dive bar with vegan and “regular” burgers
Paprika – Israeli food (falafel, schwarma, hummus, etc.)
Mr. Banh mi – Banh Mi Sandwiches and Pho
